We are committed to taking the voice of Centralians to the leaders of the Northern Territory so that is why Councillors are asking to meet with NT Government Cabinet. With recent policy announcements by the Northern Territory Government in regards to liquor restrictions, Council wants to gain a better understanding of this decision-making process. $ 25, 000 will be allocated to the Alice Springs Hockey Association for facility upgrades. Up to $ 130, 000 will be dedicated to re-asphalting our tennis courts, ensuring they are in top condition for players to enjoy.Īdditionally, a lighting project for the Flynn Drive oval will also receive $ 130, 000, improving visibility and enabling athletes to engage in evening games. Through the approval of a tender, the outdoor netball courts at the Pat Gallagher Netball Stadium will be resurfaced to provide a safer and more enjoyable playing experience for all athletes.īut that’s not all – we’re also funding other priority projects through the Sports Facility Advisory Committee. Sport is a part of the fabric of life in Central Australia, and we’re taking steps to better our sporting infrastructure.
